The 288 Scare Factory originally began as the Brazosport Haunted Haus. A small group of individuals interested in community involvement and scaring the life out of people came together to donate their time and energy to this event. This project is the brainchild of  Brazosport area resident, Brett Baker, a somewhat off-center professional. He is assisted by others of the same like. They comprise a wide cross section of society. All of them are dedicated volunteers interested in helping the people around them and having a blast doing it.  It's a tough job scaring people to help the youth, but someone has to do it.

The majority of our profits will go to help the Brazoria County Youth Home.The Brazoria County Youth Home is a local youth shelter with the mission to care for abused, neglected and abandoned children since 1967.   They are located at 3315 FM 523 in Oyster Creek Texas.  They are currently over populated, and unfortunately, must turn away children in need regularly. They are trying to build a new wing to ease the overcrowding, and to increase their capacity.  The Youth Home is currently affiliated with the Childrens Center, Inc. established in 1878 in Galveston Texas.  They desperately need our help.
