First they felt it in their dreams. Pleasant jumbles of the days events cascaded suddenly into seething swirling NIGHTMARES! It fed on the fear of those who slept, slowly gaining the power to reach physically past the wall of sleep. Enter the world of the twisted and demented as you travel within the walls of The 288 Scare Factory. We are Brazoria County's only haunted attraction centrally located only minutes from Pearland, Sugarland, Lake Jackson, Angleton, Clute, Alvin, West Columbia, and Freeport.
The 288 Corridor Rotary Scare Factory is a collaborative effort to benefit the needs of Brazoria County.
The individual Haunts began back in 2006.
Brett Baker and a small group of individuals interested in community involvement and scaring the life out of people came together to donate their time and energy to build the Brazosport Haunted Haus.
That same year, under the direction of Marc and Deirdre Skaggs of the Rotary Club of 288 Corridor, the 288 Scare Factory was introduced to the community.
Both groups have continued to raise money for worthy causes and having a blast doing it. This year, the two groups have joined together to build the most haunting and one of the largest haunted houses south of Houston. Over 20 frightening rooms!
Tickets to the 288 Scare Factory will be sold through area groups such as:
- High school Interact clubs
- High school Drama clubs
- High school Explorer clubs
- Tickets are also available at the door.
Each high school group will receive $5 of each ticket they sell. This will help with their community projects.
Funds generated from the event will benefit Dare to Excel Scholarships, Teen Court, Drama Internships, Home Delivered Meals, Brazoria County Youth Homes and the humanitarian clean water project in Carboneras, Mexico through Builders without Borders Inc.
Come out in costume to receive an additional fright!
